Who we are…
My name is Charlotte Sedaka, I’m 17, I am a Co-founder of Condom with a Conversation, and a junior at Viewpoint School in Calabasas. I have a twin sister and a little brother. I have a passion for filmmaking, specifically producing and I’m a flyer for the varsity cheerleading team at my school. I am a Teenline listener and a Change the Talk Peer Educator. I enjoy the beach and being with my friends!
My name is Luca Wheeler, I am a 16 year old Junior at Oakwood School, and a Co-founder of Condom with a Conversation. I love sports and theatre and I am interested in business and finance. I have been a member of my school’s varsity basketball and baseball teams since I started high school and I made the All League team my sophomore year. I am also a Peer Educator for Change the Talk and a member of my school’s money management club. A few years ago, I learned that both my mother and my grandmother were survivors of sexual violence and their stories affected me deeply. That is why I started Condom with a Conversation, my attempt to make the world a little safer for my younger sister.
My name is Jed Siegel, I am 16, I am a Co-founder of Condom with a Conversation, and I go to Oakwood school. I’m interested in business and economics as well as engineering. I also enjoy following the stock market and playing basketball. I started the Harmony project club at my school which gives underprivileged kids instruments. I have also competed in the JPL (jet propulsion laboratory) invention challenge every year of high school and was team captain for 11th and 12th grade. I have been a member of the j.v. and varsity basketball team for all of high school as well. I am a member of the money management club and student admissions committee among others.
My name is Amanda Sedaka, I’m 17 and the media director for Condom with a Conversation. I am currently entering my senior year of high school at Campbell Hall in North Hollywood. Charlotte is my twin sister and we also have a little brother. At my school I am an editor on the school newspaper, a part of the theatre community, and co-head of the activities committee. I am also a member of the Skirball teen council and creator of an organization called laptops with love (laptopswithlove.net). I love writing, acting, sewing, and drawing and I hope I can continue to pursue these passions as I grow up!
Our Documentary…
Meet Alina Foley, our fearless teen director. So far she’s won the Best New Filmmaker award at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth, and the Maverick Award for Most Unique Filmmaker at the American High School Film Festival. She’s a remarkable filmmaker in the making, and she’s leading our team through the process of creating a documentary about consent. So far we’ve interviewed over 100 people from age 16 to 90!
